How to Apply for a Passport. Please remember that you need a Passport Book.

Adult Passport:

1. Start here for all your information.

2. Make sure you fill out the paperwork/form.

3. Make sure you follow the instructions and submit a clear photo.

Photo Tips

1. Submit one color photo taken within the last 6 months.
2. Use a clear photo of your face. Avoid using filters typically seen on social media.
3. Have someone else take your photo. No selfies.
4. Remove your glasses for the photo.
5. Use a white or off-white background free of shadows, textures, or lines.

4. Allow yourself plenty of time to process. Routine Processing Times can take anywhere from 8 to 11 weeks. If you need to expedite it within 5 to 7 weeks, there will be an additional fee of $60 plus the regular processing costs.
