SUMMER 2024

Middle School

In our culture, peace can be hard to come by. Because of the media we consume, the stories we see in the news, and the experiences we have with violence, recognizing what brings us peace can be challenging. In this standalone message, we’re encouraging your middle schooler to not only develop an awareness of how their personal sense of peace is impacted by what they’re consuming or experiencing, but to ultimately choose to be a peacemaker—just like Jesus calls us to be!

Week One

Matthew 5:9, Philippians 4:8-9b

Being a peacemaker starts with peace in your own heart.

MEMORY VERSE

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Matthew 5:9, NIV

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

As your kid starts their day, ask them to play their favorite playlist throughout your home.

Meal Time

At a meal this week, have everyone answer this question: “What are some things that make you feel peaceful? And what are some things that don’t?”

Drive Time

While on the go this week, ask your kid: “What’s your favorite way to relax?”

Bed Time

Pray that you and your kid will choose to pursue peace in your hearts.
