OCTOBER 2025

Middle School

It’s easy for middle schoolers to see faith as complex and complicated. And at times, it may seem like it is! But for the most part, following Jesus with their lives can be pretty simple. In this series, we’re pointing students toward putting the first things first in their faith: loving God, loving others, and loving themselves. In other words, we’re talking about the Greatest Commandment! When they put that first, faith can be a lot simpler than your students may have ever thought!

Week One

Matthew 22:36-40 NIV

Love God—because God loved you first.

Week Two

Luke 15:3-7 NLT

Our value is determined by God.

Week Three

John 4:7-9, 39 NIV

Everyone matters to Jesus, so everyone should matter to us.

Week Four

Practice Week

Practicing faith together while reviewing the past three weeks.

MEMORY VERSE

Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Matthew 22:37-39 NIV

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

Start your kid’s day off by acknowledging something about their character that you love.

Meal Time

At a meal this week, have everyone answer this question: “What are some ways we can show God that we love Him?”

Drive Time

While on the go this week, ask: “Who is someone you know who lives like they really love God, not just talk about Him?”

Bed Time

As you pray for your kid, pray that their love for God will show in their actions. That they won’t just say they love God, but live like it. Pray the same for you too.
